OMG, I have just used my mat for the first time. I started at 10am prepping my work area gathering tools, washing,drying and priming the mat. I had 2 practises runs then went for it. Wow seriously impressed. Usual routine included a lot swearing huffing and puffing, then countless hours trying to remove tears, folds, pock marks air bubbles etc (you all know what I mean.) Then there's the big clean up sugar over me, and all points of the compass in my work room,Clean up, what clean up, wiped mat and rolled up. tools back in cupboard and wipe of surface, done.
It is now 11am and I am sitting with a cuppa,looking at my faultless iced cake(and believe me I've looked hard) and spotless room.
I have idea now why I hesitated and waited so long to buy. This must rate as one of the best pieces of equipment ever purchased.
The only flaw was a slight bump but that was poor application of almond paste on my part now seeing previous question will use the mat for almond paste. Thank you from one very happy customer in the UK

This is an amazing product I just finished my nieces wedding shower cake using homemade marshmallow fondant and I was able to roll out and cover the cake in about 5 minutes this would take me an hour doing it on the counter and messing it up. everyone says I should sell my cakes and I never had the confidence before. I think the MAT has helped to change my mind!!!so again thank you for an amazing product and relieving me of a lot of stress.

Wonderful product!
I got this for Christmas from a dear friend and student. I adore it so much!!! It makes it easy and simple. What I love is that if the amount of fondant looks to be too little, I can just add more on top and keep rolling. It will totally blend into the existing fondant. It makes picking up a big sheet of fondant easy with no worries of tearing it! That alone makes it a value. If I had only a small negative complaint it would be that sometimes small pits like a burst bubble will appear on the surface of the fondant. Don't why. Still it isn't enough, by any means, to make me trade it in for any other system. This has helped me so much with my cakes. Do give this a try. It has cut out that "elephant skin" problem because there isn't any extra sugar or cornstarch on the fondant. Just be sure to dust your smoother so it doesn't catch on the surface once it's in place. Sweet Wise Response - those little "small pits" or poc marks are from trapped air and it is easy to fix this problem. These marks are caused by trapped air. Just lift THE MAT away from the fondant and lightly dust with powdered sugar. The powdered sugar will provide an escape path for the trapped air as you continue rolling.

Amazing
Having rolled out fondant the "original" way with the powdered sugar/cornstarch and now with The Mat I can't even imagine ever going back to the cornstarch!! Why would anyone want to add a drying agent to their fondant if they didn't have to!? The Mat makes everything about rolling fondant so much easier!!

Great Product!!
This is a great product, I have used it several times perfectly!!!Only question I have is do you have any tips on stopping the mat moving when you are rolling out the fondant on a kitchen worksuface? it seems very slippy and moves mid roll and creates a hump in the fondant as you have to stop to reposition it?

Sweet Wise Response - If you hang a little corner over the edge of the table and pin that between your hip and the counter, you can get it to hold its position pretty well.

Wonderful!!
Before I had the Mat, I had trouble covering a cake with fondant. Now with the Mat no trouble. I love it and it has changed the way I decorate cakes!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE AND LOVE THE MAT!!!!

great product
I do a lot of baking and find this useful for pies, cut out cookies etc. i havent used it for fondant yet. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys baking from scratch! I love it!

Just ordered
I just ordered The Mat! Can't wait to try it out. Got a question, I make a marshmallow fondant, is there anything I should do differently with it? Sweet Wise Response - All fondants work great with THE MAT but some recipies require a little tweaking. Test roll out a piece the size of your hand. It it does not peel off as shown in the video, you'll just need to add a little powdered sugar to your recipie. Use sparingly and keep track of how much you use so you'll know next time.
