Why is THE MAT FOOD SAFE and Why Should I CARE?
About THE MAT.... similar plastic or vinyl products are petroleum based and contain phthalates that are used as a plasticizer.

Both are known to create health problems and concentrations of these can build in the body over time. Most if not all similar plastic products use petroleum oil and contain phthalates and heavy metals like mercury and lead. If you unroll similar plastic products and smell the plastic, you'll smell a strong chemical or petroleum order. If you smell THE MAT in comparison, you'll notice a nice clean smell similar to plastic food wraps.

We chose to have THE MAT manufactured in US so we could be absolutely certain that THE MAT is made of food safe materials and manufactured in a food safe environment.

THE MAT is made with soybean oil and other food safe components that are listed as food safe in Code of Federal Regulations. The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the United States Federal Government. Title 21 Sections 174 - 182 is the section of the CFR that pertains to materials and substances that are determined to be food safe.

Excellent!
My first cake with fondant was my daughters three tier square wedding cake - 16, 12 and 8-inches. Bottom 2 layers were cake dummies (thank goodness!) Needed to add small circles of fondandant to corners while rolling to give square shape and make large enough. (I made a template to lay underneath the Mat to show size 24, 20 and 16-inch) - I am so thankful for the Mat and how easy it is to use - to me it is worth every penny! I'm also grateful for the video on how to care for the Mat - I have to re-roll as I did end up with creases from rolling it incorrectly - was able to work around it carefully - great product - highly recommend it!

AMAZING!
I ordered the mat last Tuesday and it arrived that Thursday--just in time for a 5 tier cake I was making for a Saturday wedding. The mat worked EXACTLY like the video shows! It moves around a little during the first couple of minutes until you get the fondant a little more flat and get going on thinning it out, but let me tell you, this mat is a MAJOR time saver. I covered five tiers in the time it would have taken me to do two the "normal" way. The time saving factor was the best part followed by the fact that I didn't have to use ANY powdered sugar! No sticking to the counter and it's so awesome to roll it out and be able to just lift the whole mat and rotate! THANK YOU for an awesome product!!

Awesome Product! I love this thing!
I had always had problems with my fondant til I got the Mat...now it comes out beautiful every time! I bought 2 and I want another with size chart on it. I will also say this product helps me to get my fondant the right thickness and because of that I save money on fondant. I use a lot less fondant this way! LOVE MY MAT!

Couldn't be without it!
I found rolling fontant a challange being new to cake decorating. With the mat my cakes are perfect! Thank you for helping me look like a pro. I love that it protect the fondant from drying out. Gives me extra work time. Helps with picking up the fondant to place on the cake. I could go on and on! It's wonderful! I get rave reviews from my cakes now that I use the Mat!

WOW!!!
I was so excited to receive my mat today, just in time to help a friend cover her cake. I had watched the video prior to ordering, so was able to open it, prep them for their first use and go to town.

HOLY COW, AM I IMPRESSED!!!!!!! My friend made her first-ever batch of marshmallow fondant and truthfully I was fearful of how it would come out. THE MAT did an AMAZING job with it!

What I REALLY like about the mat is that you can completely shape your fondant and make it almost perfectly round or square, depending on what shape you need.

I can't wait to use it again!!!

my problem covering a cake before the mat
usually when im covering a cake with fondant i roll it onto the rolling pin which somtimes pose a problem if the cake is large, since the rolling pin is a specific size ,so i really like that the mat eliminates that

the most valuable tool
Okay I've only covered a cake once with fondant and the 2nd time was using the mat. It makes rolling the fondant much much better and easier. especially for a newbie like me. I will never roll the fondant the "old" way again. Thank you for inventing it.
